Memphis Celebration Service Video
We’re back from both of our Memphis trips and had a great time sharing with our church family and friends about our experiences there. We hope you were able to be there and hear many of the stories we shared. We serve an awesome God!
Watch the highlight video we created that shares a bit of our experience in Memphis.
Thank you for your financial and prayer support that made this trip possible!
Memphis Coffee & Dessert Night

You’re invited to coffee and dessert!
Friday, June 11
7:30-9pm
You are invited to join other Oasis adult leaders, parents, and students for a casual evening of coffee and dessert in the Oasis room at Grace Bible Church!
Come and enjoy some great dessert, coffee, and conversation with others in the group! We will also be sharing important “last minute” information for Memphis, answer any questions, and spend time in prayer for our June and July Memphis teams.
We hope to see you there!
Memphis Packing List

We’re a little under one month away from our first Memphis team heading to Memphis, and less than 2 months until our second Memphis team leaves! Crazy!
For those of you going on our Memphis trips this summer, our Memphis Packing List is now posted for you to download! Please read through this carefully and let Eric know of any questions or concerns you have. You can grab this latest download in the “Forms/Downloads” section of our site.
As you prepare to pack for Memphis, please remember the following:
–You will be allowed to bring 2 bags + 1 carry on bag/backpack on the van.
-Please make sure all your belongings are clearly labeled!
-When packing, please allow room for some VBS supplies and materials to be put in one of your bags. It is likely we will need to use some of your luggage to help transport our supplies safely.
-Your sleeping bag, mat, and pillow can be packed separately in a large bag, if needed.
–Please keep in mind the LeaderTreks Standard of Conduct when deciding what to bring/not bring. You will be expected to abide by these guidelines.
–Remember this list is an example of what to bring, but our trip will be 10 days (not 7 days, as is assumed on the list). Be sure to add/subtract items you think you may or may not need for our time in Memphis. Keep in mind we will not have laundry facilities on the trip, and that wearing the same work clothes multiple days is encouraged!
–We will pack our luggage and supplies on the Saturday before we leave on the trip (June 19 & July 10). Exact times will be posted as we get closer to our departure date.
Contact Eric if you have any questions!

Memphis Training Schedule Change

Hey Memphis Group -
Our next Memphis training was originally scheduled for Sunday, May 9. But since that is Mother’s Day, and you will be busy showering your mom with an unlimited amount of cards, gifts, and love, we are going to push back that day’s training to the following Sunday – May 16. So we will not have a training on May 9, but instead have one on May 16. (our online calendar has been reflected to show this change)
Good news, though, is that for our May 16 training, we will be heading out to the LeaderTreks office in Carol Stream for a time of group building activities, team initiatives, and group interaction with Doug & Angie and possibly Steve, our LeaderTreks trip leaders who will be with us in Memphis. They’ve offered to host us at their office and lead this training time focused on group building and team interaction games/activities. As a bonus, we’ll have some time afterwards to relax, have some pizza, and hang out with them.
To make this happen, we will need you to help us do a few things:
–Meet at church at 3:30pm sharp to drive over in church vans.
–Training will be approximately 2 hours (4-6pm)
–Pizza dinner afterwards at the LeaderTreks office (no additional cost to you)
–Return to GBC 7:30pm (approximate)
I realize this date may pose a conflict to some since it was not originally on our training schedule, and I apologize for this rescheduling, but wanted to let you know as soon as possible so you can make adjustments. I do hope it will give you and your family the chance to enjoy Mother’s Day and celebrate with your family!
Attendance is expected at this training, like our other trainings. If you believe you cannot make this training due to an urgent commitment elsewhere, please contact Eric immediately and discuss it with him. This is a unique opportunity to spend time with our LeaderTreks leaders and it is our desire to have everyone there for this time as we continue to prepare for our trips in Memphis!
Thanks….and remember: eat your veggies and pick up your room – you’ll make your Mom proud.
Release Form Packets

Hey Team -
As was announced and passed out at our last training session on Sunday, each person attending the trip will need to fill out the LeaderTreks Release Form Packets. If you need another copy, you can get one here.
Please take a moment and fill this out and return it by our next training – Sunday, May 9. Please make sure it is filled out completely, including all the appropriate signatures and medical information that is requested. We can’t let you go unless it is completely filled out!
Thanks for taking care of this important detail! If you have any questions, please contact Eric.
