Last name A-G: a 2 liter of your favorite drink
Last name H-N: your favorite chip/dip/snack
Last name O-Z: your favorite kind of cookies or dessert

Oasis Winter Retreat 2011 is coming!

February 11-13, 2011

Lake Geneva Camp & Conference Center, Lake Geneva WI

A MUST ATTEND weekend for everyone in Oasis!

Come and spend the weekend with us, your friends, the snow, and an incredible time growing in your relationship with God!  They’ll be plenty to do all weekend long, some amazing food, and a lot of fun with your friends!

Cost:

**no price increase from last year!**

$120 if paid in full by Feb. 2 (early bird discount)

$140 if paid in full after Feb. 2 (regular bird price)

Paintball activity costs extra (see brochure)

Financial scholarships are available, if needed.  See Eric for details!

The Chronicles of Narnia:

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

Come see the newest Narnia movie with us this weekend!

When:  Saturday, Dec. 11, 5:30pm-11:30pm (approximate time*)

Where:  Meet at GBC, take vans to AMC Yorktown (in Lombard)

Who:  Any Oasis high school student & their friends!

How much:  $10 (pay when you arrive)

After the movie is over, we’ll come back to church to hang out and play some games, eat snacks, and relax.

*Meeting & return times are estimated, since the theatre hasn’t released exact movietimes for Saturday (as of this post). We will post our exact meeting time HERE after we know the times!  Check back after Tuesday!

*Meeting time is CONFIRMED for 5:30pm at church!  We will return to church at approximately 9pm.

Oasis Going Away Party For Rachel!

In honor of Rachel, who will be leaving us next Tuesday (November 16) to begin her full-time missionary work to the Philippines, we will be having a good-bye party to say thank you and good-bye to Rachel!

When:  Sunday, November 14, 7:30pm

Where:  Adrienne & Rachel’s house (1N687 Creekside, Villa Park)

Who:  Any & all Oasis students and their friends!

Come for the closing missions conference service at church (6pm) then swing over and join us at her house to say a final good-bye, along with lots of food, fun, and games!

Luvation 2010

Luvation 2010 is here!

As part of our week long church missions conference during the week of November 7-14, we will be involved in sharing Christ with the homeless and abandoned in downtown Chicago by passing out bagged lunches and having the opportunity to bring hope and love to them.

Come make a difference in the life of someone else through a bagged lunch and your smile!

The details:

-Meet at church @ 10 AM to make up lunches!

-We’ll head downtown and hand our lunches around Moody Bible Institute

-Be back at GBC by 8pm!

UPDATE!!

We will be returning to church for pizza, some sharing about our day, and games!  Don’t miss out!

Also – please bring a backpack to carry lunches in!

We will also take donations of socks, hats, mittens, scarves to pass out to the homeless!

Fall Retreat 2010

Oasis Fall Retreat 2010

Sign up and reserve your spot for our Fall Retreat this year!  We’ll be returning to Camp Timber-Lee in Wisconsin to help serve them in a number of different needs they have maintaining their camp and getting it ready for the winter season.  And, of course, we’ll also have our share of fun, late night games, and incredible time as a group enjoying the weekend together!

Dates:  October 29-31, 2010

Cost:  $30 (before Oct. 20), $50 (after Oct. 20)


Print off your forms and permission slips and bring to Oasis next week!  You’ll need to have the Fall Retreat registration form, GBC Medical Form, and a Timber-Lee Release Form all filled out!

Chicago Harvest

Chicago Harvest Is Coming!

Join us for an exciting outreach and opportunity to share the Gospel with your friends at the Allstate Arena!  We’ll have vans at the church for us to ride up and be a part of this event.  Besides the great music (see below for artists), we’ll also hear Greg Laurie, a pastor from California share the Gospel!

When:  Friday, September 24 – Sunday, September 26

(note:  Oasis will only be providing vans from the church for Friday and Saturday night’s events)

Come and join us for a night to relax, hang out, have some fun, and enjoy a roaring bonfire with s’mores, stories, and a lot of fun!

Who: Any Oasis or college students!

Bring a friend and a snack or drink, if you’re able!

1. Head West on North Ave. to Villa Ave.
2. Turn left on Villa Ave.
3. Turn left on 3rd St.
4. House is straight ahead as the road curves to the right
